I am blessed to live near a place called Brandon hill, a beautiful hilly park slap bang in the middle of Bristol city center yet well removed from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets that surround it like asphalt moats.
Nice little steep Entrance to Brandon hill
The time of year is irrelevant when I walk through the man-tamed land as it always fills me with good thoughts about the future and makes me forget any shards of regretful past.
It might be as we get older we appreciate these places more but I doubt it , I think Brandon hill is enjoyed by the significant majority that visit her. I don't feel you can really trust someone who doesn't appreciate nature.
I've seen guys on facebook who normally post poorly worded rants about the state of this country while raising their pitchforks toward the dangerous left, post a picture of a stunning sunrise over a cornfield with a butterfly hanging delicately off the tip of a reed proving Mother nature is the greatest artist of all.
From what I have heard the leader of Chechnya is a massive instagram fan and loves idyllic pictures of his country and I gather he is no push-over.
I truly hope we keep and expand our beautiful parks and countryside in the UK and keep the pesky corporations and politicians at bay when they keep trying to sneak any border changes on our green green land.
Love Brandon hill
